Bio

Thrive Counseling Services, LLC owner and founder Amanda Leno, LPC, PMH-C, provides holistic mental health counseling with care. At the Gilbert, Arizona, office, Amanda offers personalized care that emphasizes a strong mind-body connection.

Amanda studied behavioral sciences at Newbold College of Higher Education in Bracknell, England, before earning her psychology degree at Walla Walla University (WWU) in College Place, Washington. She went on to earn her master’s degree in professional counseling at Ottawa University in Phoenix, Arizona.

She also earned an advanced graduate certificate in trauma, abuse, and deprivation.

Amanda is a licensed therapist in the state of Arizona and a nationally certified therapist. She specializes in trauma and abuse issues using trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. This approach allows patients to confront and overcome toxic belief systems to achieve their goals.

Using her specialized training in childhood and adolescent care, Amanda incorporates expressive arts and play therapy techniques in sessions with her younger patients. This approach allows her to relate to kids in a non-confrontational manner.

Amanda believes that parents and other caretakers are a crucial part of the healing process for any child, and she welcomes their participation.

She uses emotionally focused therapy when working with couples. This approach allows her to guide couples through interpersonal issues, helps to foster secure bonds, and helps to guide patients towards better emotional responses.

At this time, Amanda is welcoming new patients in the Gilbert office and through telehealth. To schedule an appointment with Amanda, call Thrive Counseling Services, LLC, or click on the booking link now.
