Stephanie Munro, LAc

Stephanie Munro, LAC, is honored to be considered as your partner in achieving health, healing, and peace. Specializing in working with adolescents and adults throughout Gilbert, Arizona, she offers individual, couple, and family counseling at Thrive Counseling Services, LLC. 

Drawing from unique personal and professional experiences, Stephanie has deep familiarity with endometriosis, infertility, foster care and adoption, type one diabetes, and supporting a spouse who is a two-time cancer survivor. Additionally, she brings extensive experience in education and executive-level business leadership.

From a foundation of trust and positive rapport, Stephanie works collaboratively with clients to set and reach personal goals for authentic wellness. Her approach is integrative, utilizing a variety of modalities based on the client's needs, always from a trauma-informed perspective. Techniques include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, and Enneagram work for those interested. 

Stephanie holds a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Grand Canyon University as well as a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Ottawa University. She is also recognized by the American Diabetes Association as a trained Mental Health Provider.

While she identifies as a Christian, Stephanie recognizes that "title" may be off-putting based on a client's past experiences. She ensures a welcoming environment for clients of all beliefs and backgrounds, and is an LGBTQ+ ally and highly values equality for all. Spirituality can be incorporated into therapy as much or as little as desired.
